- David Musseau, President
David was born in Grand Falls-Windsor, NL
and lived there until moving to St. John’s in 1994 to attend
Memorial University. Shortly after graduating, he began his
career with the Federal Government of Canada and worked from
one of the best locations in Newfoundland – Water Street,
downtown St. John’s.
In 2003 David accepted a transfer to
Ottawa and was joined a year later by his partner Ginette
Clarke of Blaketown, NL. They have since married and have
made Ottawa home while working to progress their careers.
Presently, David works as a Business Analyst for the Public
Service Commission.
David’s aim as President of the
Newfoundland Society of Ottawa is to work with the Executive
to successfully rebuild the Society and help ensure its
longevity. They hope to achieve this by fostering a network
of Newfoundlanders through hosting quality events that appeal
to members as well as those who enjoy socializing with
Newfoundlanders

- Lori Nash, Vice President
Lori was born in St. John's and raised in
Mt. Pearl. She lived in Pasadena, NL for 2 years when her
father was transferred there for work, so she's had both the
East and West coast experiences of living in Newfoundland.
She graduated from O'Donel High School
in 1993 and then went on to attend Memorial University
graduating with her B.A. in Sociology. Lori began her career
with the Federal Government of Canada in 2001 working in
Pleasantville, NL. In 2004 Lori accepted a transfer to Ottawa
and has since made Ottawa her home. Presently Lori works as a
Project Consultant for Service Canada in Gatineau Quebec.
Lori's objective as Vice President of
the Newfoundland Society of Ottawa is to work with the new
Executive to help re-build the society. She would like to
make the society something Newfoundlander's and friends can
count on for great quality events and good times. Lori
believes that the society will be an excellent avenue for
Newfoundlander's to meet other Newfoundlanders and make life
away from home a little more familiar and just a little more
fun.
- Marilyn Pretty, Treasurer
Marilyn was born and raised in the Grand Falls of Grand
Falls-Windsor and graduated from GFA in 1972.
After completing her business course and working in St.
John's in the finance sector for a couple of years, she moved
back to Grand Falls to work with FBDB, and then a computer
business. Like any Newfoundlanders, she moved to the
"mainland" to look for work. For the past 11 years she has
been with the British High Commission in Ottawa.
Her interests are traveling (especially to the East Coast),
music, reading, walking and photography.
She joined the Nfld. Society some years ago to get a
"little bit of home", meet fellow Newfoundlanders and have
fun. She hopes to build a strong society in Ottawa to share a
little of our Island.

- Paul Lacroix, Public Relations
Paul was born (a long time ago), and raised, in the beautiful
coastal city of Bathurst, New Brunswick. With the urge to
travel and meet people, He joined the Canadian Forces, an
organization he is still with, to this day. His interests are
music (especially live performances), traveling and
photography.

- Tracy Chatman, Membership
Tracy was born and raised in St. John's and attended Memorial
University where she obtained her B.A. in History, Political
Science and Russian Studies. She started her career with the
Federal Government in 2000 and later that year transferred to
Ottawa for a three month assignment. Six years later, she is
still here. Tracy currently works at Transport Canada as a
Policy Analyst for the marine sector.
- Mark Ledwell, Webmaster and Graphic Design
Mark was born and raised in Torbay, and graduated from Torbay
Regional High School in 1996. In 2002, after receiving his
Diploma from College of the North Atlantic he moved to Ottawa
to work as a Computer Programmer with the Federal
Government.
In 2005, he started a website for Ex-Patriot
Newfoundlanders,
www.homesicknewfies.com and continues to run it today.
Mark currently lives in Ottawa with his fiancée Angela and
their Boston Terrier Stewart.

- Grace Glastonbury, Events
Grace Glastonbury (nee Noseworthy) now calls Ottawa home after
career moves throughout the Maritimes, Quebec and Ontario. She
was born and raised in St John's where her parents still
reside. Following successful careers in the public service
Grace is now an award-winning Realtor. As part of Royal
Lepage Team Realty, Grace serves her clients "With a Touch of
Newfoundland Warmth".
