Christmas Greeting from Premier Danny Williams, Government of Newfoundland and Labrador

It is a great pleasure to send greetings this evening to the members of the Newfoundland Society of Ottawa.  As premier of your home province, I truly admire and appreciate your organization and your commitment to promoting Newfoundland and Labrador culture through your social events.  You are also to be commended for the great work that you do fundraising for both local and Newfoundland and Labrador charities.  I also want to thank you for being ambassadors for our beautiful and distinct province.  We all know that there is no place like home, and this is especially true for people from Newfoundland and Labrador.  Living and working away can be difficult, especially during the holiday season.  And so, on behalf of our Government and your friends and family back home, I wish you all a Happy Holiday Season and a safe and healthy new year.
